The Owl & The Cactus

I am loving Cactus at the mo, they are such little cuties aren't they?

I've always had a soft spot of them since I was a little girl I think I got my first one when I was about 6.

I loved that little fella.

 

This one above is one of the ones I have recently got from Ikea sitting here in my living room with the owl by his side. You get them in a set of 3 & they come in their own little pots. You have a choice of 6 colours but of course I chose white!

I have had a casualty already though, as I had one of them on a picture ledge near the front door & one day last week when it was super windy the door was opened & a huge gust of wind rushed in & knocked my pictures off the ledge with knocked my little cacti off too. He got damaged pretty badly & lost some limbs but I'm taking care of him & hope he grows back. Poor little guy.

Acorn Lights

I first came across these wonderful lights from Nordic Leaves & fell in love with their simplistic natural beauty. They are from Finnish designer Maija Puoskari.

As you can see the lamps are inspired by the shape of acorns. They are made using opal white mouth-blown glass and Finnish alder.

I just love their pleasing familiar shape & the wood would be so warm & beautiful in a white room setting, perfect for dark Autumn evenings. They make me think that if I placed these in my home it would suddenly feel like I'm living in a wonderful Scandinavian fairytale.

Brakig Wallpaper from Ikea

Who is loving the new Limited Edition Brakig Wallpaper from Ikea?

 I know I am. 

We bought some of the white with colour triangles wallpaper last weekend as we just couldn't resist it although we are not sure where to put it yet - my favourite spot is in the kitchen but it is a difficult space & James said he doesn't want to wallpaper that again so soon!

It is a super duper bargain though at only £5 a roll, so what's not to love!

The only problem is, is that it is Limited Edition & once it's gone, it's gone!

So be quick people before it sells out.

 

We went over to Ikea again last night to get the grey geometric paper for a wall in our bedroom as we didn't want to miss out!
